This explains what Prime Pictures Studios Ltd does with personal information. We are the data controller. Company no. 17351209, registered at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. For anything on this page, email [email protected].

If you contact us or fill in a form

We collect the name, business name, email address, phone number and location you give us, plus whatever you tell us about the work. We use it to answer you and to quote for a shoot. This is handled on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.

Enquiries are kept for two years from our last contact, then deleted.

If we email you first

We send introductory emails to UK businesses at their published business addresses — the address on a company website, Google listing or Instagram profile. We rely on legitimate interests under UK GDPR, and on the business-to-business rules in PECR, which allow marketing to corporate subscribers.

Every email we send has a working unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, or ask us to stop, your address goes on a suppression list and is never contacted again. That suppression list is the one record we keep indefinitely — we have to, in order to honour the request.

Business contact records we hold but never hear back from are deleted after twelve months.

If you buy a shoot

Payments run through Stripe. We never see or store your card details — Stripe processes them and we only receive confirmation that payment succeeded, plus your name and email. Stripe has its own privacy notice at stripe.com/privacy.

Invoices and payment records are kept for six years, as UK tax law requires.

If you download the case study

We use your email address once, to send you the breakdown you asked for. We may send one follow-up afterwards, with an unsubscribe link on it. We do not run a newsletter and we do not sell, rent or share your address with anyone.

Website statistics

This site uses Jetpack Stats to count page views and see which pages people read. It records approximate location, browser and referring site. We use it to understand what is worth writing, not to identify individuals.

Photographs and video we take

When we shoot at your premises, people may appear in the footage. Getting the agreement of anyone recognisable is the responsibility of whoever books the shoot, and we will work with you on it. If you appear in our work and want it taken down, email us and we will remove it from our own channels.

Who else sees your information

Only the services we run the business on: Google Workspace (email), our WordPress host and its form plugins, Stripe (payments), and Jetpack (statistics). We do not sell personal information to anybody, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to us using it, or ask us to stop emailing you. Email [email protected] and we will act within one month. There is no charge.

If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.
